Keep your saved places together, on your phone or any other device. Your free account keeps them until you remove them.
Create an account with a username and password. No email address needed. The guide is free to browse without an account.
Usernames use 3–24 letters, numbers or underscores and start with a letter. Capital letters count as lowercase.
Passwords use 6–128 characters. A few unrelated words work well. Spaces, pasting and password managers are welcome.

Account settings
Your owner admin account is protected from deletion.
Deleting your account removes your username, password hash, recovery-code hash, sessions, latest sign-in IP and account saves. Your Forums contribution text, votes, XP and private notes are removed too. A limited record of admin changes stays visible for 90 days. Separate guest saves and follows stay on this device. Log in again first if it has been more than 15 minutes.
Save your recovery code
This code is shown only once. Save it somewhere private, such as your password manager. Anyone with your username and this code can take over your account.
If you forget your password, this code is your only way back. Losing both means losing access: there is no email reset. If you close this screen without saving it, log in with your password and replace the code in Account settings.
Save your username with the code. You’ll need both to reset a forgotten password.
How XP and levels work
XP comes from useful Forums contributions and eligible votes on published place reviews. Posting and browsing alone do not earn it.
- Level 1 · Neighbour · 0 XP: free account saves, reviews and Forums.
- Level 2 · Scout · 50 XP: bronze buttons and contributor level.
- Level 3 · Local guide · 150 XP: silver buttons and private notes on saved places.
- Level 4 · Streetwise · 400 XP: gold buttons.
The guide and normal saves stay free. XP can fall when contributions change; existing private notes stay readable. Admin tools cannot be earned.

We store your username, a salted one-way password hash, a keyed recovery-code hash, an account ID and sign-in sessions in a private database. Your password and recovery code are never stored in readable form. We do not collect your email address for accounts or send account emails.
An essential secure cookie keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. Logging out revokes that session; changing your password or recovery code signs out every device. Abuse limits use hashed identifiers including your connection’s IP address. Expired sessions and limit records are removed after successful signups and logins.
We keep the time and hosting-reported IP address of your latest successful sign-in until your next sign-in or account deletion. Only the site owner’s admin account can search accounts, see this address, change usernames or membership levels, suspend access, revoke sessions or delete accounts. These tools require recent password confirmation. Admin changes are recorded with account IDs, the affected username, action and time. Records older than 90 days are hidden and removed at the next successful signup, login, admin action or activity check. Passwords, recovery codes and IP addresses are not copied into this action history.
Saved ideas are stored privately with your account until you remove them or delete your account. We store the listing type, ID, saved name, source date and time saved, so removed listings remain recognisable. For Friends + Family offers we store only a reference with a generic label. Their current facts are read privately from Google Sheets and are never saved in this database. Private access is granted by the owner; it does not transfer provider membership or guarantee redemption. Guest saves and follows stay on your device. Benefits-checker answers remain in page memory and are never attached to your account. Read the guide’s privacy information. On Forums, approved posts and comments appear with your username and contributor level. Vote totals are public; individual votes, reports and saved notes are private. Read the community rules and privacy details.
